Xbox Announcement TBoD Grade

The Xbox One is official now. Here is the final grade for TBoD: 13 correct, 4 incorrect, and 2 unknown/unannounced. That is a grade of 76% (excluding the unknowns) which is quite decent for a comprehensive rumor-to-reality prediction.

Also, if you want to see all of our original answers, the link actually works now. Salmonfin beat the lot of us. Although, the most interesting statistic is that our collective score is better than any individual score.

  1. Required internet connection for “Always On” gaming
    • No. However, we believe studios will be able to require it on a game-by-game basis
    • Correct. Microsoft was a bit convoluted on this point, but from what they released, it looks like we were correct.
  2. Kill off second-hand/used games
    • No
    • More convolution ..Microsoft insists we will still be able to buy/sell used games, but it sure sounds like something strange is in the works. I’m surprised they even brought this up. They probably didn’t read my first article. I’ll reward TBoD with a correct on this one.
  3. Illumi-room
    • Yes. However, it will be offered as a separate peripheral.
    • Incorrect. No mention of this, but I do think we’ll hear about it later.
  4. Updated Kinect

    • Incorrect. None of us saw that coming. This was a unanimous answer.
  6. Cater to indie developers
  7. Name?
    • We have a two-way tie between Xbox Fusion and Xbox Infinity. But how is there a two-way tie among 5 voters, you ask. Because I guessed Infinite.
    • No one saw that coming. No ONE. Incorrect.
